Investigation of fluid-seal interaction and their prediction based on the Hansen Parameters

To ensure the safe handling of biofuel candidates their compatibility with engine related components, such as seals, has to be investigated.
A modified version of the standardised immersion test is used to investigate the impact of various fluids on standard reference materials. In parallel
a prediction model based on Hansen-Solubility-Parameters is developed and the outcome is compared to experiments.
